Pictures from around the house.....

Our view of the recent storm- the giant one we had
last week. It came all the way from Japan, traveled
miles and miles and miles across the Ocean, and poured
its fury on our California coast.

Even tho it was partially detrimental- I ALWAYS
LOVE LOVE LOVE a good storm!!

Our wet backyard.

Chicken Paprikash cooking in the pan. This recipe
is so easy....I cut up some onion and garlic, sauteed them
in coconut oil (that is the oil I'm using now but you could
do it in olive), cut up chunks of chicken (actually this is
turkey!) and sautee, throw in the red bellpeppers (2) with
LOTS of paprika, a bay leaf, some water and simmer for
about 45 minutes.

While the turkey was simmering, I boiled the home-made
noodles (just flour, 1 egg, salt and a little water)- they are
sooooo tasty!!

What it all looks like after I add the sour cream and
flour......it looks better when it is dumped on top of
the noodles....mmmm- this was for Rob because
he had to work all day in the rain and because he and
the kids helped me clean the house because my back
was really bad!

I will soon open up my Etsy store!! These are a
few of the little creatures I will be selling!!

Pictures of my "60's" make-up job for Rob's show

I don't usually like pictures of myself but these are examples
of my make-up job for Rob's Jimi Hendrix cover show- I was
sooooo mad, I FORGOT the camera but it was AWESOME
and Rob is SUCH a FANTASTIC drummer, it's inSANE!!

Rob likes this one but I think I look mean in it.

Things that have been happening around the house are....

Well, of course Halloween is advancing on all of us!
My house looks like Halloween all the time but in October
I make it extra fancy!

Does there look like a shadow wearing the
witch had in the window or is it just me??

I scared him!

My very FIRST time cooking a whole chicken!! Yes,
I am 35 and never cooked a whole chicken. The directions
said "Remove the giblets." What are giblets?? I finally
figured it out and was laughing and laughing because the
chicken had NONE!! (I even boiled a full tea kettle to
pour down the drain where I washed the chicken- to kill
any germs!)

The finished chicken- Rob said it was the best
chicken he ever ate.....hmmm, I guess I'll
make it again!

We are it and then I put the bones in the crock-pot
for broth....the house smelled so good for days!!

Cleopatra in all her comfortable glory

I'm selling these for $10 each! Let me know if you
want one!

Another dinner that looked yummy in the pan:
coconut oil, onions, yellow and red bell peppers,
and kielbasa sausage....I put it all over couscous.
(with spices)

My angel cutie darling princess girl learned how
to make a crochet chain! I figured it would be too
hard for her BUT even tho she didn't really hold
the hook and thread very properly, she DID it!!
And I am soooo very proud of her because she kept
trying and trying and trying and didn't give up!!!!!!

Shadow was keeping her company!

Renaissance Faire 2009

Here are the darling kids, all dressed up and
ready!

Saila Morgan Cathleen

Johnny Rising

Jacob Andrew

Linda Maria

Stephanie Dawn

Better than wenches!

Saila got to hold a parrot. He was a rescue from a
domestic violence home and was a "stress plucker"
as a result of it. This lady LOVES him so he is in a great
place now! She even made her earrings out of his feathers!

His feathers are slowly growing back and when they do,
he is going to be gorgeous! Look how pretty green
his head is!

Wise old owl! He is 28 years old and has his foot
bound up because of age-related arthritis!

I get to paint this some day!

Saila and me with the silent man who always
comes to the faire.

The Queen!

Me and Tata!

A Punch and Judy puppet show that Saila wanted
to stop and watch.

It's a little messy here but I thot her hair
looked beautiful all day!

Happy Stephanie! Yay!

Steph's fuzzy leather cuffs!

Lunch time back at the car!

My handsome son and me

It's not Pan, it's Puck!

Johnny's new Skill/Obsession/Love!!
Archery!!

Leaving the Faire for another year of waiting!
