Our Much NEEDED Vacation Away (just Rob and I)

Rob and I got to go away for the weekend- it was the
first time since 2003!! It was a perfectly warm and sunny
Valentine's Day weekend in sunny Cambria, Ca., right by the
Ocean and Hearst Castle! My darling sister Marylou, and
her awesome man Paul watched the kids for us and we
ALL had tons of fun!! This is the view outside our motel
room (The Blue Bird Inn)- so Spring-like and tons gorgeous!

A tulip so white it glows! Can you see the creek down
below? Music!

The gorgeous swimming pool at Hearst Castle- we
took the last tour as the sun was setting!

The two tower rooms- I LOVE the one on the left!

Well, unfortunately all of these pictures will be a bit
(or A LOT) blurry since there is no flash allowed in the
castle.... I did the best I could and posted them anyways
because they are ghostly in their blurry-like state!

Mr. Hearst's room... I do believe that lamp is
carved rose quartz!

My favorite tower room! So many windows with panoramic
views of the Ocean and the surrounding green hills! Plus,
thick curtains to close out the sun if you want to sleep late!

Carved teak on the outside where Mr. Hearst's floor was-
all tropical hardwood, withstanding the tests of time!

all this beauty, you want to take a close up of ME?"

The other marvelously GORGEOUS pool!!

The trip home consisted of checking out ALL THE
ELEPHANT SEALS!!!! SO many and SO amazing to
watch! I could've stayed there all day long!

Endless drama! The babies were all yelling at the mama's
to roll over so they could nurse! There were dead baby
carcasses that were among them, they seemed to not notice,
it's all apart of the life of an Elephant Seal....

They were adorable! The babies were SO FAT!!!!
They all were digging their flippers in the sand and flicking
sand on themselves. Even the tiny babies knew to do that!

Hahaha! The males were just after one thing! And the
females were NOT having it!! She's yelling "GET OFF ME!!"
The other girl is yelling "GET OFF HER!! And stay away from
me and my baby!!" I guess the females HAD their babies
and were DONE!! It was kinda funny!

She sent him away! Look at the other girls, they are
eyeing him, making sure he just lays down and chills...

Lots of babies nursing and I LOVED the mama who's
laying her head on one fat baby!

Literally ALL up and down the beach!!!!

Saila lost her FIRST baby tooth!!

Well, here it is!! The Tooth Fairy is coming tonight!!
My baby has finally done it! She was eating her sandwich
from lunch and out it came!! It's been loose for a few days
and now her adult tooth is ready to push on thru!

I had to take this photo opertunity- the kids
are getting SO big and time is going so fast. They
will never be this small again.....I have to cherish it all!!

Saila Day 2010!!!!!

Saila Day 2010 was February 6th, Saturday. She really
wanted to go to the zoo but it was rainy so I suggested an
aquarium and she was really excited. We ended up going to
the San Francisco Academy of Sciences. I haven't been
there in YEARS- so many changes, it is UNRECOGNIZABLE!!
Here is the albino alligator. The aquarium part was really
nice too!! My favorite fish now are trigger fish- they move
their fins so beautiful!!

The pendulum is still there!!

Sitting outside the place, at the fountain where I learned
how to be a pro balancer!

She wanted a hamburger, fries, and a strawberry
milkshake for dinner. We were still in the City, so we
went to Mel's.

Before bed, she also wanted to stop at the Hello Kitty
store at the mall, so we bought her a few things....

These were before Saila day, on a lazy weekend night.
I just think they are sooo cute!!
