Road Trip to the Redwoods- just Judy and me!!

On the way up, we stopped at Las Guitarras in Novato (my
brother-in-laws family owns this SUPER yummy restaurant) for some
carne asada with YUMMY sauteed onions and mushrooms
on top, YUMMY salsa and guacamole, beans, rice, and tortillas.
Mmmmmm!! I'm getting hungry!!

Judy with her plate- we got the same thing, both with
iced tea- YUM!!

The beautiful fountain with a sign for the famous BBQed oysters!

I wish the camera would have captured the lapis colored tile
in the fountain better.....so beautiful, just like Don Roga's
pool in Puerto Vallarta!

Passing the chaotic hecticity (yeah, I made that word up!)
of the city and heading out into beautiful country!

A shot of the grape vines- we were in wine country!

Into the mountains!

It is hard to capture the enormity of the Big Trees thru a
photograph.....I tried to get the street in for comparison.

Straight up into the treetops, far, far away!

She made me laugh cuz at first she stuck our her booty!!

Us!

Under the bridge....

The ground is so soft it's crazy not to go barefoot!

We were feeding Stellar Jays that were so beautiful
and hungry!!

Don't worry, it was sprouted grain bread!

Patrick's Point

To get down to the beach is a long way down and it
ends like this!

The beach was FULL of drift wood- I scored a couple
wands for the kiddos.

Spider web among the green.

The path going down to Trinidad Beach- my
personal favorite!

Trinidad Beach- I looooove it!!

Going home, after two days of bliss and peace,
in the Avenue of the Giants again.

Trillium will bloom soon!

Happy Redwood Sorrel

Tiny little brilliant flowers

The hills were covered in soft furry golden-ness. I was
wondering if all the hay fields that we were passing, seeded
and if they softness was hay?

Eel River

Rattlesnake grass

Isn't it gorgeous?

The drive thru tree!

Happy Birthday Cleopatra!!

I took advantage of the gorgeous lighting of the fading sun
to take these pictures out on our deck. Saila is soo beautiful
to me in every way!

My beautiful Tata (Stephanie!)

Shadow, Tata, and Saila

This is where the sun sets in the Summer time....when
the equinox comes, it sets more to the left.

Saila took a bunch of pictures of Stephanie and me!

On Cleo's Birthday, I put Saila's hair in curlers- they are
the soft kind with wire.

She kept these in for about 6 hours!

She LOVED LOVED LOVED her curly curls!!

The garden now

We bought Cleo a "cake" of wet food and sang to her.
She is NINE years old, hard to believe!!

Happy Birthday to my little kitty, who ran into my apartment
when she was sooooo small she could barely mew!

San Francisco Trip (late June) to see Art

The last weekend in June, we decided to take BART into the
City to see an Art exhibit that Jason Newsted put up (the
former bass player for Metallica). We saw the book but it
was cool to see the paintings close up and then, of course, it
was FUN for Saila to ride BART and spend some time in the City!

She took a picture of us!

Saila standing by her favorite Jason Newsted painting.

Saila and me by my favorite one!

Rob standing by his favorite

Some detailed shots.....this one looked like it had an
orange face hidden in it.....do you see it??

More detailed shots, I LOVED how in the middle of
this picture is sort of a black paint drop/clot and there
must have been two bubbles in it, then he dotted the
bubbles with red and it kinda forms eyes.....NICE!

Details of the chaos, when we watched the video of
him painting, he just looks like he is having FUN!!
Big paintings like these are very physical!

It was the day of the Gay Pride Parade and Gay Pride
Week.....we missed the fun but were happy to see them
flying the rainbow flag!!

So many odd street corners and no where to build
but up!
